The story of Mithila Swad began with a simple craving — a 20-year-old’s longing for khajuriya, a beloved traditional snack. What should have been a joyful bite turned into a moment of dismay due to poor hygiene.
This experience lit a fire:
“Why can’t our favorite traditional snacks be both tasty and safe?”
During Chhath Puja, another truth emerged: these authentic delights were often available only during festivals — and even then, not always with the quality one could trust. That gap became a mission.
